Details Pertaining the Staff Selection Commission for the candidates planning to apply:
Chandigarh: The Staff Selection Commission recruits staff for various posts in the various subordinate services departments and ministries of the Central Government. The Department of Personnel and Training is connected to the commission. The headquarters of staff selection commission is situated in New Delhi and has seven regional offices. The Regional Director heads the Regional Office and Deputy Director heads the Sub-Regional Office. The staff selection commission also conducts all the defense type examinations.
The exam is conducted in a pattern similar to Civil Services Examination. The exam consists of two phases, the first phase is Preliminary exam. If the candidate qualifies in the preliminary exam than he or she is eligible to appear in the Combined Main Graduate Level Examination. The detailed schedule of the examination is updated with the SSC Regional Offices.
The candidates aspiring to attain the examination for statistical Investigatoir grade-II should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics from any recognized University. For the rest of the Post the candidate should have a Graduation Degree or equivalent from a recognized University.
The examination comprises of questions related to General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, English Comprehension and Mathematics.
If you have mentioned Post Graduate in the Bio Data it is not necessary to attach Post Graduate documents for the SSC CGL Exam. It is totally alright if you don’t produce a Post Graduate related documents. If in case you are not able to produce your Under Graduate Certificate because they are with the college. In such case you can flash your Post Graduate certificate or Mark sheet.
However the Post Graduate Certificate is not necessary to be produced during the Combined Graduate Level Examination if you could not posses the Post Graduate certificates you can show your mark sheets as well.
