Chandigarh: There are total three stages in the SSC CGL Exam namely TIER-I, TIER-II AND TIER-III in the starting section. The last stage is mostly tough than the previous two. The second stage that is TIER-II is easiest. Many types of the question can be asked in the interview. There is no limitation in the syllabus. The TIER-I is based on the GK knowledge questions.
For the first two TIERs one hour will given which carries 100 marks question and answer section. The interview section will be around for 20 minutes. You should be serious for this interview, you cannot ignore anything. In this test only around 28% of the candidate can able to pass and can score above 60. This shows that the interview section is tougher.
Normally, interview can complete within 20 minutes, which can conducted by three to five members together. They will not only try to judge your GK knowledge, but also other subject matters. They will conduct the interview as per your response of answer. Therefore, it is very important that you should have a good command in all the answer and you should well acknowledge with your subject.
If you do not know the answer, then admit to ignoring them. You should not do this casually. Always give the correct answer in time. So before applying prepare your knowledge well to answer all the questions.
Once the interview is completed, the SSC has discretion of minimum mark required to pass this test. The cutoff of the CGLE-12 is 25 for UR and 20 for other reserved categories in the interview section. Therefore, clearing the interview is more challenging than written test. It is very important to perform best in any one test for selection. If you are failing in the interview, but you are, getting average marks in the writing test than you could select.
