Know About the Different Categories of SSC Exams and the Age Limit:
Chandigarh: The SSC is an abbreviation of the Staff Selection Commission. It is all set to carry out the Combined Graduate Level Examination for the coming year of employment in different positions in central government ministry or departments.
Qualified applicants can apply for the positions in general. The minimum qualification required for the test is a degree of graduation. The max age required to appear this general exam is twenty-eight years. For the OBC exam, the age is twenty-eight plus three and for the SC and the ST it is twenty-eight plus five. In the category of the general or the unreserved the candidates who had usually been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir, the age relaxation permitted is further than the upper age limit of five years. For OBC, it is eight years and for the SC and the ST the age limit is ten years.
The general exam can also be given by the divorced Women, widows, women sensibly separated and also who are yet not remarried. They can give the exam till the age of thirty-five years. For the OBC, it is up to the age of thirty-eight years and for the SC and the judgment of the military service delivered from the actual age as to the final date. The OBC exam for the ex-servicemen is six years that is three plus three years after the judgment of the service of the military that is delivered from the actual age as to the final date.
The SC and the ST exam are eight years; that is, three plus five years, after the judgment of the military service that was delivered from the actual age as on that of the final date. There are many other categories for this exam and the age limit too differs.
